Dog Daycare
Dog Daycare in Burnaby
Kennel-free days built around temperament, enrichment and rest — not a room full of dogs left to sort themselves out.
A structured day, not just supervised chaos
Plenty of daycares are a large room, a lot of dogs and a staff member keeping the peace. Ours runs to a schedule, because dogs do better when the day has a shape to it.
Enrichment runs twice — 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning and 2:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon — in small groups. Puzzles, bubble chasing, flirt pole work. We rotate the equipment so it stays novel. In between there is lunch at 11:00 and a genuine nap from 12:00 to 2:00, with nature sounds and classical music playing. Dogs who nap properly go home tired in the good way rather than wired and over-stimulated.
Playgroups by temperament, not by the scale
Most facilities sort dogs by weight because it is simple to administer. We sort by temperament and energy level.
A steady 50-pound dog often has a far better day with other steady dogs than in a group of bouncing small ones, and a high-drive terrier may be happiest with dogs twice their size. After your dog’s free assessment we will tell you which group we think suits them — and if we get it wrong, we move them. If you would rather your small dog stay in the dedicated small-dog area, just say so; that option is always yours.
Kennel-free, and what that actually means
No crates, no runs. Your dog roams freely and safely under supervision for the whole day.
There are quiet resting areas for dogs who want a break from the group, and a fenced outdoor bathroom area. In summer we add overhead cover and a cooling pool.
Clean, and staffed by people who know dogs
Every member of our team has experience working with animals and is certified in Pet First Aid. The facility runs on a strict daily and weekly cleaning regime using vet-grade, pet-safe solutions — which matters more in a kennel-free space where dogs share everything.
